Your friendly neighbourhood knittas are back.
Following a regrettable year-long hiatus, Knitta Litta is returning in 2010, just in time for some winter warming.
Since out premier Hosier Lane installation, Knitta Litta has been chased down by security guards at the Exhibition Building; participated in a collaborative, AFL-inspired yarnbombing mission across the public transport network; and held many a brainstorming session re. potential targets for 'warming' in 2010.
Our next knit-up will be held in May. All are welcome.
Check out our facebook page, or email us at knittalitta@hotmail.com for details.
We've missed you!

Hosier Update
Bollards have been stripped bare, pom-poms pulled and knitted pieces souvenired by passers by. Some have disappeared without a trace. Those that remain are weary but wont go without a fight! It's been a dramatic few weeks in the life of the pioneering Knitta Litta knits.

July Installation
Cloaked in mist and dark, a group of rebel knitters descend on Hosier Lane. A lookout positioned at either end of the alley. A team on each bollard, some to hold, some to stitch. July Update
Three sessions in and we're well on our way to the very first Knitta Litta installation. Keep your eyes open in the coming weeks as we warm some of Melbourne's dark alleyways with our knitted graffiti art. July will be a busy month for the knittas as we hold additional holiday sessions to make the most of guilt free knitting over the semester break. Many hands make knitting light work so please join us at the Empress on Tuesday 01 July.
